Balmossie ScotRail

Stagecoach at Balmossie.  After unsuccessful attempts in the early 80s, Stagecoach have at last acquired the former Strathtay routes.  Initially the busses were turned out in the Stagecoach livery although they still operated as Strathtay  - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow

First ScotRail - actually the third!  PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow

Confusingly called First ScotRail to reflect First Group's ownership of the franchise (it's actually the third version of ScotRail) - passengers, now called "customers", are invited to take the train to work.  No mention here that there is only 1 train a day in each direction from Balmossie Halt!  Meanwhile on the other side of the line a First ScotRail express from Aberdeen rushes over the Dichty and through the not unsurprisingly deserted Balmossie platforms.  - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow
