"Robert Burns was born in Ayr, and now he sits in Albert Square . . . "  . . . and also in New York - and there are further identical statues in Dundedin and on the Thames Embankment in London.  An identical statue of Robert Burns by the same sculptor exists in Poets' Corner in Central Park, New York City.   Sculpted: 1880 Sculptor: Sir John Steell 1804-1891.
