Arbroath Abbey

Arbroath Abbey was founded in 1178, consecrated in 1197 and abandoned in 1590.  Incredibly red sandstone was removed from the abbey and used on buildings in Arbroath up until 1815 - PHOTOs Malcolm McCrow
