Memories of East Africa
The aim of this site is to provoke memories of a by-gone age through photographs taken at the time. It is not an attempt to win prizes for the photographs nor the presentation. I started with my own collection of photographs taken with very basic equipment, but people have kindly sent me both their own period and, by way of contrast, present day photographs. A list of acknowledgements is provided at the foot of this page. Also provided is a selection of links to other East African related sites.
